Project is aimed at the realization of a new type of draw-string bags with improved technical requirements in performance terms: increased strength, thickness reduction, multiple raw materials, and logistic optimization for their distribution. New performances will allow a greater diffusion and allow therefore development of production plants and relevant realization technologies.

The project foresee an innovation of process technologies, currently available on worldwide market, in order to create new draw-string products with new machinery / plants.
Main innovations concern following features:

• New type of dashed-welding that increases traction resistance.
• Multiple welding-bars in order to increase productivity.
• Robotized packaging unit.
• Optimization of the work phases and use of improved and certified safety components.
• Increasing of labeling and roll closure speed.
• Automatic quality control through vision system.
• Improved energy efficiency of the production process.

The project allows the realization of at least two new process engineering products:

• A new controller based on last generation Multi-core processor which uses a field-bus ETHERCAT processor control and standard interfaces with integrated control for robot.
• A multi-function camera with high processing capacity and various sensor types
